# slacker — package source policy (freezes + pins)
# ============================================================================
#
# One rule per line. This file controls two opposite things:
#
# 1) FREEZE — slacker must never install, upgrade or remove the package.
# name freeze by exact name or substring/regex (matched on the
# package id, e.g. firefox or xf86-.*-202.*)
# series/ freeze a whole series — note the trailing slash (kde/, ap/)
# @repo name freeze only while the package's source IS that repo; it
# still accepts updates from OTHER repos per priority
# Examples:
# firefox
# xf86-.*-202.*
# kde/
# @lngn vlc
#
# 2) PIN — take a package ONLY from one repo, ignoring priority (the opposite
# of a freeze). Easiest via the commands:
# slacker pin lngn:vlc # vlc now comes only from lngn
# slacker unpin vlc # back to normal priority resolution
# ...or write it by hand with the 100% marker:
# @repo 100% name
# Example — vlc always from lngn, even if a higher-priority repo has it:
# @lngn 100% vlc
#
# Notes
# * A FREEZE on a package always WINS over a PIN on the same package.
# * Comments start with '#'; blank lines are ignored.
# * Manage freezes with: slacker frozen RULE... / slacker unfrozen RULE...
# * Manage pins with: slacker pin repo:pkg / slacker unpin pkg
