Welcome to the Cosmic Desktop Enviroment Wiki.

Here I will explain to you how to install Cosmic and it's dependencies as well.

So in order to use the Cosmic Desktop Enviroment and your audio device on Slackware. You will need to have enabled Pulse Audio and disabled PipeWire. This bug has been reported by r-tz on our Discord Channel in the Cosmic Thread. Also right now Cosmic is following git master to keep up with the changes that are going on under the hood.

If you would like to download the complete repository and have it localized here is a script just for that:
<https://raw.githubusercontent.com/rizitis/reddog-bin-repo/main/reddog-bin-repo.sh> This script was made by a good friend of mine Rizitis, he created this script so that he can keep his local repository up to date and shared it so that if anyone would need to just keep a local branch, this will do it and it will allow you to keep your local branch current as well.

Repo Usage/Installation

To use these packages, it’s recommended you install slackpkg+ to manage 3rd party Slackware repositories on your systems. slackpkg+ has no arch requirements, as it’s all script based, so all systems can install and use it. Our packages are all signed with our GPG Key's and slackpkg+ will check and verify that for you during installs/updates.
